Delegate feedback

“I would like to give some feedback on Ed's sessions. I totally loved them. He is really good and the content is top. I really hope we have more sessions like this in the future. Really amazing talk!” Delegate AI company

“Shortly after attending the course I had a meeting with one of our biotech clients who later complimented me on my grasp of technical language. The day spent in Cambridge learning about the drug discovery business was definitely worthwhile!” Alex Malocca, Great Guns Marketing

“Our team all took something positive from the course, we certainly are far better prepared to handle future projects within the industry. Ed was an excellent teacher, and went at a pace that allowed us to take everything in, whilst still covering the entire drug production process - we highly recommend the course.” Laurence Emmett, Director, Cranleigh Scientific

Drug discovery courses

The How the Drug Discovery Industry Works course provides a detailed overview of the organisation and activities of the modern biopharmaceutical industry relevant to new employees and those with more established professional connections. Topics include the commercial background of the Life Sciences industry and the processes required to identify and move a drug candidate from the discovery laboratory through to the marketplace.
The course is aimed at both scientists and non-scientists and provides an explanation of some of the key jargon used which is useful for the technical nature of some of the material. Drug discovery and development is a technical enterprise that can be daunting to those without the relevant background, so the content and delivery of the course has been designed with this in mind. In addition, delegates are provided with a comprehensive series of references for further reading including The Science and Business of Drug Discovery- demystifying the jargon and Twenty-first Century Drug Discovery- an expanding landscape both published by Springer Nature and written by the trainer Ed Zanders (see Books).
